Inclusion+ aims to develop a series of activities involving students, municipal actors, and practitioners in the field of international student mobility to create changing-making tools to be utilized by higher education institutions (HEIs), and host cities to enhance inclusion and diversity within the study abroad experience. All outputs will be available for download on this website.

“Barriers to participation in Erasmus+ mobilities: who are these students and what are their needs?”
The storytelling report “Barriers to participation in Erasmus+ mobilities: who are these students and what are their needs?” will identify the specific needs of students with disabilities and with caregiving responsibilities to participate in international mobility programs examining if and how they are being addressed. It will be written in accessible language for HE practitioners and policymakers.
Online inventory of promising practices | December 2024
The online inventory of promising practices records good practices, innovative solutions and successful experiences of higher education institutions to address inclusion in student mobility, more specifically of students with disabilities and students with caring responsibilities.
Structured guidelines on how to run collaborative laboratories | December 2025
They will serve as a blueprint for running collaborative laboratories (Collabs), incorporating lessons learned during our project and providing detailed instructions on establishing and managing collabs effectively. The guidelines will be designed to be accessible to stakeholders interested in adopting collaborative methods.
Mobility app prototype | March 2026
The Inclusion+ mobility full-fledged app prototype follows user-centric design methods, will serve as the foundation for an application that helps international students with disabilities navigate their host cities more easily. It will also serve as a scalable and modular base for future initiatives to advance the inclusiveness of Erasmus+. A factsheet to provide a step-by-step guide for the design process of the mobile app and how it can be adapted to other contexts will also be made available.
Roadmap on scenarios | April 2026
A practical tool with inspiring and evidence-based recommendations tailored to guide higher education institutions and host cities on how to adopt an inclusive approach towards Erasmus+ students with caring responsibilities and students with disabilities.
Inclusivity checklist | April 2026
Two factsheets will be developed to provide an inclusion checklist for HEIs and host cities. These factsheets will ensure that key steps and considerations are consistently followed, promoting an efficient approach to including students with disabilities and students with caregiving responsibilities in mobility programs.
