Inclusion+ Project Co-Creates Solutions for a More Inclusive Erasmus+ Mobility

Between March and September 2025, the Inclusion+ project team organized a series of eight National Collaborative Laboratories (Collabs), hosting two events in each partner country. These sessions brought together around 60 participants and established structured spaces for dialogue. The primary objective was to identify the needs, challenges, and potential solutions required to make Erasmus+ mobility significantly more inclusive. The insights and perspectives collected during these national laboratories served to directly inform the project’s policy recommendations, as well as to guide the development of an inclusive mobile application prototype.
As the culmination of this process, the Master Collab was held in Vilnius, Lithuania, on October 21, 2025. The event was officially opened by Johannes Gehringer, Policy Officer for Higher Education and Erasmus+ at the European Commission.
The Master Collab served as an international follow-up to the discussions initiated at the national level, bringing together around 48 participants from Finland, Portugal, Turkey, and Lithuania. The initiative gathered a diverse group of stakeholders, including students, university representatives, non-governmental organizations, and policy-makers, reflecting a broad cross-section of expertise and lived experiences within academic mobility.
During the event, participants were invited to brainstorm and co-create solutions to the core challenges previously identified. The sessions focused on eight key thematic areas related to the participation of students with disabilities and students with caring responsibilities, ensuring that the project’s findings translate into concrete measures to remove barriers within the Erasmus+ program.
